Makeup Revolution Ultra contour palette review.

Hello!

Due to being on the paler side, I tend to be extremely picky about what contour palettes I buy. Many come up orange on my skin and the highlights are non-existent. After looking online I saw several recommendations for trying Makeup Revolutions 'Ultra Contour' kit and seeing as it was only £8 I thought I'd give it a whirl. Surprisingly I was not disappointed.

The palette contains eight different powders - six matte and two baked which offer a wide range for different skin tones. Everything in the palette feels soft and smooth allowing for an easy and flawless application. As well as this there is very little fallout from the actual palette (which is the opposite of what I've noticed in most contour kits). The overall look of the palette is very minimal with a shiny black packaging and gold writing. I live for the 'minimal aesthetic' so the packaging is automatically added to my good books. Adding to this the overall palette is compact meaning it isn't difficult to store in your makeup collection. The mirror inside is large allowing for easy viewing when contouring. However, the palette is easily scratched (especially if you have long nails) so care is needed when handling this palette.

The 'bronzers' are on the cool toned side which prevents them from looking orange or 'muddy' on my pale skin and easily transfer onto skin. The cool toned browns are perfect for giving the soft shadow - enough for some extra definition and don't cake up on the face. These give a subtle contour with high pigmentation. Perfect! The two baked highlighters are my absolute favourites due to the fact they're glittery, and they actually show up nicely. However the rest of the highlighters take some work to show up on my skin but with work - still 'highlight' my face. Plus the yellow toned highlighter is exceptionally great at counteracting my red cheeks which is always a plus.

Overall this palette is affordable, high end and minimal. A perfect add to anyone's makeup collection and my 'holy grail' contour palette.

Is it worth the money? Yes

Would I repurchase? Yes
